Our events experience

 

 Ali Brain, Events SpecialistI'm Ali Rogers, and I run manage my event.

I have a wealth of experience when it comes to organising successful shows, designing high impact exhibition stands, and putting together unforgettable party ideas.

 

 

My most recent project has been the organisation and launch of the Executive Hire Show. This sold out event is held at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry every year for the tools, small plant, and equipment hire industry.

Launched in 2007, it averages 130 exhibitors, 1800 visitors, and a lot of hard but rewarding work, and this year we are expanding into another hall to cope with demand!

To give you an idea of the scope of my skills and what manage my event can do for you, here's a snapshot of how we helped:

  • Operations - full event management responsibility from concept and research, through to delivery.  
  • Negotiating contracts with the venue and all external contractors / suppliers.
  • Production of the Exhibitor Manual.
  • Marketing – organisation of regional focus group research in year one. We also coordinated all marketing and communications campaigns to target sales and visitor databases, internal and external press.
  • Compiling all visitor and exhibitor post show questionnaires, to produce full event reviews.
  • Coordination of visitor registration campaign and communications via email / fax / SMS / telemarketing.
  • Sales – We were responsible for major contribution to Show sales each year.
  • Financial - Budget setting and ensuring the event is completed timely and within budget perimeters.
  • People management - On-site management of the team of 8, all external contractors and venue staff.
  • Event party - We managed each after-show networking party for exhibitors and specially invited hire professionals. The charity auction in the first 2 years raised £26,808 and £81,695 respectively for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Before that I also spent 7 years working in the Marketing department for Belle Group - a market leader in light construction equipment, with a range of sub-brands targeted at a variety of distribution channels internationally – retailers, dealers, rental sectors.

Project Managing all national and international exhibitions and over 60 events, from exhibitions to dealer conferences, and corporate hospitality, my responsibilities there also included Marketing and PR.

I have organised high impact stands for national and international events such as SED, Bauma, Intermat, and Smopyc, winning an exhibitor excellence award at SED for the Belle Group stand and demonstration area.
